In 2004, Franck decided to put his passion for cooking and hospitality at the service of those who wanted to share beautiful food and an unforgettable evening with their friends. His Private Dining experience was born.
Much more than being your personal chef for the night, Franck aims to be the friend and expert advisor who will help you deliver a fantastic evening for your guests. He will listen to your individual requirements, understand what you need, and share a great deal of knowledge so that your vision of the event turns into a delicious jaw-dropping reality that surpasses expectations.
Franck will only select the finest seasonal ingredients, provide advice on the marriage of wine with food, and present all dishes in an innovative, entertaining manner to create an experience that your guests will remember and cherish for many years.
With food, the first impression does matter, and Franck has always aimed to make a lasting one. Franck developed the use of verrines – dishes beautifully presented in individual glasses – as the pinnacle of fine food presentation at his pop-up restaurant The Glass Kitchen at Harvey Nichols in Knightsbridge. It is still at the heart of the private dining experience Franck offers, and never ceases to astonish and delight guests.
Like you expect in a fine restaurant, the menu created by Franck will consist of a minimum of three courses, served on conventional plates or in verrines (elegant glasses)at the dining table. Franck also offers canapés receptions with a twist, tailored like a dinner party with starter, main and dessert canapés.
As a final touch to the evening, Franck will introduce, present and explain every dish to your guests in a very informal and relaxed manner.
Your dining experience
For optimum quality of food, presentation and smooth running of the evening from your home, the dining experience is best suited to a maximum of thirty guests.

Each dish will be served and presented exclusively by Franck Pontais, and a signed copy of his book Terrines & Verrines will be left to the host.
